The design of this innovative, mutipurpose community facility, is based on the concept of a group of converging longhouses, and pays homage to a traditional longhouse village where all types of activities take place. The barrel-vaulted steel structures and linkages serve as focal points for community gatherings, social functions, education and a resource training centre. Scheduled tours start at 9:30 and on the hour thereafter. Children can go into a class room and make a craft while parents tour. There will be samples of native cuisine and vendors throughout the building. |
